OBJECTIVE & GOAL
Design a user-first Single-Window portal that converts fragmented, months-long approvals into a transparent, auditable, parallel workflow. I led the end-to-end UX & delivered validated prototypes. Key measurable goals included:
Reduce approval times: enabling parallel processing by departments.
Increase transparency & accountability: SLA dashboards, automatic escalations, public status tracking.
Ensure accessibility & scalability and a componentized design system for reuse across other projects.
5+ Cross-agency alignment workshops, led by PM with Revenue, Forest, Environment, Land Acquisition and SDO teams and 10+ contextual interviews helped us to capture mandates, SLAs and real-world constraints.
We mapped 30+ process steps into journey maps and swim-lanes, surfacing over 10 critical hand-offs that created the most delay and risk. Research outcomes directly shaped the product: progressive disclosure to simplify complex forms, inline validation to prevent back-and-forth and field workflows for on-site officers- all designed to make parallel departmental reviews reliable, auditable and faster.

As collaborating team, we produced pilot product's: 75+ high-fidelity screens and 15+ clickable Figma prototypes that demonstrated key user flows and edge cases. Core outputs included a multi-step Master Application (dynamic fields + autosave), an applicant status timeline, role-specific department queues, an embedded GIS review widget for on-site verification and a compensation & R&R console.
We also produced a design system library, plus engineering-ready handoff docs. These artifacts reduced implementation ambiguity, sped up development and made the portal scalable and repeatable for future state rollouts.

The pilot rollout delivered one clear win: average approval time fell by 65% under controlled user testing- proving the Single-Window approach can dramatically speed land approvals.
Beyond that headline, the pilot validated the product in real operations: interest from key project developers, departments reported far fewer manual queries and duplicate submissions and users reported strong satisfaction with the new flow. The project also produced production-ready assets- SLA dashboards, reproducible playbooks, a componentized design system, and governance patterns- all tested against live cases.
Antrixum is now preparing next-phase plans to scale the portal. With the operational learnings and design governance in place, the platform is positioned to expand without losing the transparency, reliability and auditability proven in the pilot.
